About FocalPoint Daily

FocalPoint Daily is an independent site that chooses and brings to you the most important photography-related stories in the categories of News, Reviews, Tools, Tips and Technology. We sift a carefully chosen list of sites daily during the working week, and we are constantly working to improve and enrich the list that we use, so if you feel that your site deserves to be part of our reviewed list please contact us.

FocalPoint Daily was launched at the beginning of February 2010, with the mission of reviewing the vast range of sources and material on the Web for photographers, extracting the ‘wheat from the chaff’ to only bring solid, reliable and thought provoking material to its audience.

The founder of FocalPoint Daily is Graham McLaren, a Bristol based university lecturer and photography enthusiast who recognised the need for a reliable resource for photographers that linked photographers to high quality web resources. A member of the Royal Photographic Society, Graham has been an active photographer since his late teens (a VERY long time ago!). He specialises in landscape photography, with a particular interest in producing black and white toned prints that concentrate upon mankind’s impact on the environment.

The technical development of the site has been undertaken by Nick McCloud of descartes who provide a range of business development & logistic services to small businesses in the UK. Nick is a long time geek who stays fresh by working on projects such as this.
